China's new top 10 "Furnace Cities"

Forecasters in China are predicting a heat wave in the next few days, withtemperatures expected to hit 40 Celsius in some places.

Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing and Nanchang are traditionally regarded as China's 4hottest conurbations. But is that true? A new list of "Furnace Cities," released by theNational Climate Center (NCC), has thrown up some surprises, reports the ChangjiangDaily.

传统上，一般认为重庆、武汉、南京和南昌是中国的四大火炉城市。但是真的是这样吗？据《长江日报》报道，国家气候中心发布的一份“火炉城市”新名单让许多人感到惊讶。

Nanning, Hefei, Nanjing and Xi'an have made a surprising appearance on the list, withWuhan relegated to 6th place.

南宁、合肥、南京和西安出人意料地出现在了榜单之上，而武汉却只排名第六。
